A home is an "energy sieve" if its DPE is rated F or G (consumption > 330 kWh/m²/yr). Check your DPE on Mansard's tool or on observatoire-dpe-audit.ademe.fr.

When is a G-rated home banned from rental?

Since January 1, 2025, G-rated homes cannot be rented under new leases. Existing leases continue but rent cannot be increased.

What happens in 2028?

From January 1, 2028, F-rated homes will also be banned from rental. In 2034, E-rated homes will follow.

What aid is available in Bordeaux?

MaPrimeRénov' (up to €20,000 based on income), Eco-PTZ (up to €50,000 interest-free), CEE certificates and 5.5% VAT. Nouvelle-Aquitaine often has additional regional aid.
